Happy New Year! Recapping 2024 and Exciting Plans for 2025

Hello Everyone! I wish you all the best for the New Year and am looking forward to exciting new things we are planning for CreekStreet Studio!

Recap of 2024

2024 was a big year for me as I reimagined and rebranded my business. I took the bold step of closing BriteSpotz LLC and starting fresh as a sole proprietor under the name CreekStreet Studio. You can read more about this journey in my CreekStreet Studio is Live! blog article and the announcements leading up to the transition.

Since then, I’ve celebrated so many “firsts” that it feels almost surreal! Here are just a few highlights:

  • Retired BriteSpotz and officially launched CreekStreet Studio on August 1.

  • Designed and launched my first collection, inspired by a creek theme to align with my new business name. (See the announcement on Instagram)

  • Started my first mailing list

  • Actively promoted my rebrand through my first blog articles and Instagram reels.

  • Submitted my first copyright applications.

  • Opened my Spoonflower shop and made my first designs available for sale.

  • Had a booth at my very first craft fair, where I sold stationery products and fabric samples.

In addition, I’ve created several new collections, standalone designs, and fun animated reels for social media. It’s been a whirlwind of creativity and growth, and I’m excited to continue building on this momentum in 2025!

Exciting News for 2025!

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be joining two incredibly talented artists, @Littlelizziepaper and @Studiohousegarden1, for a year-long design challenge called Design & Discover 2025 (#designanddiscover2025).

Each month, we will create new designs inspired by a shared theme, providing the perfect opportunity to explore fresh ideas, push creative boundaries, and celebrate the joy of art and design.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Brand-new designs every month.

  • Behind-the-scenes glimpses into our creative process.

  • A celebration of artistry, community, and inspiration.

The January theme is new year resolutions, new routines, and fresh starts. This cheerful red bird is brimming with the hope, joy and expectation reflective of this theme. This is the 4th in my series of "Birds in Hats" illustrations. Keep an eye out for more to come.

I can’t wait to dive into this challenge and share the journey with you. What themes are you hoping to see? Let me know in the comments!

Looking ahead, the sky’s the limit! I’m putting together my plans for year and would love your input:

  • What types of new products would you like to see? (be specific!)

  • How about online tutorials or courses?

  • Shall I pursue licensing opportunities? What type? (Stationery? Fabric? Home Decor?)

  • What other ideas do you have?

Thank you for being part of my journey so far. Your encouragement and support mean the world to me, and I’m excited to see what we’ll create and discover together in the year ahead. Here’s to a creative and joyful 2025!

Warm wishes,

Susan
